I would love to be able to use a MIDI control surface for Macro Controls on a different MIDI channel than the drums, to avoid having my control inadvertently affect CC4 (hihat) or CC16 (snare).
Superior Drummer by default listens on all channels, so even if I set my controller to a specific channel (say 12) any CC4 still registers.
If I set SD to listen only on channel 10, my controller messages on 12 no longer come through.
I know I can change what CC a specific control sends, so I can avoid sending a 4 or a 16, but this becomes a recurring chore when switching controller banks or attaching a different controller — not to mention that some controllers can’t be deep edited like that.
Having separate channels for macro controls and drum inputs would go a long way in making this process easier.
