I’m not into using 200 GB of disk on drum samples.
What I have now with Avatar in SD2, plus Vintage&Custom and Roots – is enough.
But might enjoy improvements in SD3 plugin- and also be future proof for Toontrack to sell me SDX stuff in future.
Lower threshold – and opening for future business and sales for Toontrack.
Current policy as declared is rather high threshold – and shut any doors for future business for Toontrack.
Seems to me like a rather poor business decision with current policty – and really unheard of in software business.
So give us an upgrade offer – just the licensed SD3 plugin – keep using our SD2 stuff – for the moment – but futureproof.
Let’s say $100 or similar – and you open up for future business?
And maybe even just in your own store have this option – and all in the pocket of Toontrack – not give away half on discounts on distribution.
I gather current policy give Toontrack $100 profit with the samples and all. Just the plugin would do the same job right now – as well as keeping door open for more. Just make an SDX of standard stuff that is now in SD3.
