SD3 takes forever to open… Normal?

It is taking 10 minutes for SD3 to open off an external SSD (over USB 3). Is this normal?

Is there any way to optimize the loading times? If not, it is effectively unusable for me.

That’s not normal. Do you have Avira antivirus installed? If so, try to disable its “cloud scanning.”

Thanks. Yes, I do have Avira installed, although I think it was just that SD3 was trying to load every sample of every kit installed at startup (or something). After flipping a few config settings, it now pops right up. All is right with the world again.
