Hello!
I have been a proud owner of SD2 for a long time now, but there have always been a couple of problems with SD2.
I am using a Roland TD-30KV kit.
I have never had any good luck trying to set the hi-hat trigger sensitivity properly in SD2. I always have to stomp down hard on the pedal to get the hats to close, no matter how I calibrate the hi-hat in SD2.
Also, assigning cymbal chokes has been near impossible as well. Sometimes it can’t be assigned at all.
In SD3, have these issues been addressed? Can anyone tell me if the hi-hat sensitivity and cymbal choking when using TD-30KV kit have been fixed?
Thanks!
I have TD20…did a TD20 full factory reset as I waited for the download – opened SD3…selected ‘Roland’ as the midi map that comes with SD3…sat behind my kit…and WOW.
Years of frustration and messing around with CC and learn functions with SD2/BFD/AD/Ocean are now a fading memory. The hi-hats are PERFECT in all articulations and the cymbals all choke.
I would have paid the upgrade price just for this improvement to hi-hats and nothing else!
Greg
