Hello,
I will be purchasing SD3 for future use on my next audio computer. Currently I have SD2 on a PC but my main computer has died and I’m limping along on a spare. My plan is to move to Apple silicon but will only do that if SD3 runs natively rather than in emulation via Rosetta2. I have two questions related to that. 1. Will Toontrack products be updated to support Apple Silicon natively and if so, is there any timetable for when that might happen? 2. Assuming the answer to 1 is yes, then will the update for apple silicon be a free update to SD3 owners? I could possibly purchase SD3 and try to run it on my spare PC (which is an old windows 7 machine) as long as I can move it to a new Apple machine when I get it. Note…I’m waiting for the larger iMac before making that move.
Thank you!
Hi BD88,
it’s an ongoing process. Right now EZmix 2 and EZkeys have Silicon Native versions and other current products will have Native versions as soon as possible.
I cannot give you any specific dates, I’m afraid.
BR,
John
