I’m very disappointed with SD3 after 10 days of using it, especially with the midi “learn, adjust, midi cc etc” adjustments and the workflow in General,… it was .. it IS much Intuitive everything in SD2, in SD3 everything is just not right.. and nothing special really just new graphics and resizable things. and a new library.. Much Better SD2, much much better.. (workflow) even with a small window.. and less plugins.. I don’t know why you change the Workflow of SD2 and a lot of features are even harder to get. very disappointed here, I think I’m gonna still using SD2 over all.. over SD3.
1: for example: Toontrack Has not yet made the Hi Hats CC4 transitions sound (real) without all those strange noises..
I think it has to be with better program algorithms,
2: if you edit in the drums window “Hi Hat CC edit” the parameters, they don’t change in (MIDI in/E drums Settings)
and there is no visual blue point reverence when moving my E-Drum cc4 – in the (Hi Hat CC edit)
3: no option to save presets for: (voice and layers) (midi mapping) why ?
4: you cannot remove several notes or key map notes in the (Midi Mapping Keys) window, like holding Shift and remove selected notes..
and a option to learn.. right there in the piano window.. too. why not? .
5: yes we have only 4 new hi hats in the SD3 library why only 4 ? and like 20 snares ? and kicks etc..
and yes I know that we have now “Bell Trigger” But wouldn’t be more logical to have New (Close 1, Close 2, Close 3 , Close 4, and then Open 1 open 2, and so on.. ? that’s one of the problems with almost Every company on the market, they focus only on one single articulation for (close.. ) and a lot for open, open 5 ?? .. which real drummer will Use “open 5” hitting harder ? mm.. maybe only open 1, 2, 3, and 4 it is more than enough,,
6: Stacks.. : how do you combine 2 hi hats ? … to play the same hit hat and use 2 different hi Hat from different libraries ? ..
with all the hi hat notes.. it is a mess. impossible to do.. in SD3.
7: (Arrows) on the Drum Pads ?? .. left and right Simple Arrows to change the snare or.. hi hat or anything .. ? maybe even between different libraries.. =? no…. you have to click.. then a window opens.. etc etc etc.. why not make it simpler ? … even EZX has that option.
8: know we can Resize the windows.. ok.. why not making the Mixer window.. (Faders) resizable too ? like in (Presonus Studio One) .. and a option to have the Mixer below.. but inside the main window.. instead of (song creator window below) ?? .. that will be 200% more helpful and logical. less Clicks.. and the most important things are there.. in one single (Main Window View) .. mm.. see¡ no intuition. logical things.
9: Snares: no matter how hard I hit my V-Drums the new snares of SD3 sound to Soft.. I don’t hear that “punchy” hit no matter how hard I hit my V-drum pad.. no matter what I move configure in SD3.
10.. please add at least (ONE) quality Eq plugin to SD3.. the 2 eqs sound bad.. cheap.. they are not very good .. very similar to the eq.. of SD2 almost unusable .
11– and that’s only in 10 days.. I think there’s a lot of work left to Do with the Toontrack SD3.. a lot , spend more money in the software and less in propaganda.
