Since I am one of the many laptop users I was wondering if it would impair the operation too much to install the libraries on a dedicated SD card? I travel a lot and prefer not to use an external drive.
I use mostly metal kits – what size would I reasonably be able to cut the libraries down to? (Meaning; do I need 256GB SD or could I get by with 128GB?)
I am yet to upgrade but just trying to prepare so thanks in advance.

There is a section the breaks down the install options and what each of the 5 library installs actually install. The minimum is about 40 GB.

Yes, all it tells me is that the minimum install size. Well, I am not looking for the minimum install.
Are you saying the install procedure doesn’t allow deselection of kits?
Thanks
No, you can’t cherry pick what kits get installed.
