I would really like to be able to have some semblance of the kit I’m using in a recording project as the sounds I hear out of my e-drum sound module (in my case, Yamaha DTX900M). Why? Triggering the SD3 app or plugin on the computer has inherent delay of several milliseconds, so I have to use some kit in the e-drum module that at least has the right instruments (e.g., number of drums and cymbals), which leaves much to the imagination about how it will actually sound later in SD3. If SD3 could export a kit into DTX900M format (inc. its 512MB limit), I could hear that kit as I record the e-drum performance, without the computer latency.
