I own both lines. I’m a home studio musician looking to record music using v-drums with a live drummer, v-drums triggering the sounds of course.
What platform is best to trigger the sounds? I know SD2 is way more “deep” in options. You can kinda start with a “raw” drum sound so to speak.
However, the EZ2 sounds great too. I’m a bit confused as to what road to take in my music production.
What are players that are in the same or similar boat doing? When I record scratch tracks and write songs, everything always sounds more polished with EZ2 vs SD2. Should or can I leave it at that and have a pro product in the end? Or do need to mix from scratch within the SD2 platform to get a more true to life studio drum experience from the software?
Any input greatly appreciated!
