SD2 sounds good alone but bad when jamming with MP3

Hi,

I setup superior drummer to sound very good alone through headphones. But when I play along with an mp3 music, then kick drum is “buried”, can only head a bad sound, like just a portion of the whole sound.

I believe it must have something to do with the mixing. When I play the same mp3 and jam along using the TD-11 module sounds, they don’t sound as good alone but with music playing they can still be heard and continue to sound good.

Any tips?

Turn down the music.
I am not going to go into a mix tutorial as to why and how but thats what you need to do.

You definitely want to experiment with mixing to make the kick cut through. Maybe start with EQ?
