SD2 mute/snares off

I “a/b’-d” the mute samples from my NYC Avatar and Jazz Drums snare samples and it didn’t seem to work. I tried listening on several playback systems but still was unable to hear any reduction in snare rings at several pitches. From another post I was told that there was a “snares off’ setting on the s’ware and I didn’t find that on any pulldown menus in the Construct Window. Pls advise on where the operator error is asap.

Load the NY Avatar kit and click the ‘Tool Settings’ menu (to the right of the Construct ‘Drum Kit’ menu). ‘Uncheck’ the ‘Bottom wire snares’.
