I am now attempting to record MIDI drums using a Roland TD-4
1. When playing into SD2 there is a noticeable latency on the SD2 sound making it impossible to play in time
Playing along listening to the Roland’s internal sounds whilst recording the MIDI seems fine… and the resultant the MIDI can then be played back on SD2 – spot on..it is just the SD2 direct playback whilst recording which is late
2. The Kick drum seems to also trigger the Floor Tom and Tom2.
This is not and issue or audible when hearing the Roland is on Internal sounds but in the MIDI I can see the other drums (Floor, Tom2) being triggered by the Kick drum notes)
Any tips?
Hi,
check your computer’s Hardware Buffer size settings.
Preferably 64-128 samples, 256 and upwards starts getting hard to play.
2: if you have recorded false triggers, these come from your module. Superior 2 can not add MIDI to the track. Make sure your crosstalk settings are trimmed in your module. Find a sweet spot between what is playable and where false triggers start showing up on your MIDI track.
