Hi,
I want to create a drum system which will be used for only live application.
I have:
* Roland TD10 brain + alesis surge cynbals + DDrum triggered Pearl acoustic drum kit.
* Latest version PC with Win7 64 bit 8GB 1600Mhz RAM, AMD (6th core) CPU.
(I have not purchased the software and the sound card yet.)
My questions:
Useing SD2 during live situation do I need a high level quality sound card (like focusrite saphire) or only a cheap solution (like integrated sound card on the motherboard) is enough. (I will not use this system for recording.) Do I need to also install the toontrack solo product?
Please help me as I do not know the how to make the next steps.

If you want a decent sound quality I would get a good sound card but more importantly is a SC that can achieve really low latency without glitching
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
Yes,
an audio interface with 64-bit ASIO drivers would be recommended.
You will need to install the free Toontrack solo application to be able to run Superior 2 in standalone, yes.

For live playing I need Toontrack Solo with Superior 2. If I want to interface with a DAW do I still need the Toontrack Solo or do I just load the SP2 in the DAW?
To use S2 in a DAW, you would only load S2 in the DAW and not in Solo.

What are the three most popular DAWs? I would love one with premapped midi for Roland vdrum kits (TD-10) if possible.
I’m not sure what the 3 most popular DAWs are.
There is a list of compatible hosts on the Product page (click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab)

I don’t know if any have premapping for edrums.
S2 has an ‘e-drum’ mapping preset that should get very close with the mapping and the ‘learn’ function should take care of any discrepancies.
