    Hi,

    which OS are you running?

Can you please post a screen shot of the Details screen on the EZXs?

Windows 10. Wonder if I might have installed them in non-default locations?
The actual install path is: C:Program FilesToontrackEZDrummer

You have some EZXs installed in one location and some installed in another?

A guess would be that you have somehow Custom installed the EZX:s to another location than the EZHOME set by your Superior 2 installation and then you have added the EZX:s like SDX libraries on the Settings page in Superior 2. Correct?

They are all in the same location. I remember there was some weirdness with installs. I probably did choose a custom install path, but I don’t particularly remember manually setting the paths on the Settings page.

First, please check your Settings page in Superior 2 and the Library drop down to the left, if your EZX libraries are listed. If they are, please ‘Remove’ them.
Next, could you please uninstall the Superior 2 plugin (that’s your only Toontrack plugin, right?) and then reinstall it, selecting Custom install and point the ‘EZHOME’ location to ‘C:Program FilesToontrack’?

Tried that with no luck. I copied the C:Program FilesToontrackEZDrummer* Directories to C:Program Files (x86)ToontrackEZDrummer* It seems to work fine now.

That being said, I would like the ability to pick my install paths. I can understand having 32bit/64bit programs in the different program folders, but as far as I can tell, the expansions are not bit dependent.

Out of curiosity, I have a 64 bit system but the new program says it recommends both 32 and 64 bit installations for the superior plug in… why does it recommend that?

the path with your libraries (and MIDI) needs to be 32-bit friendly. Failing this certain 32-bit hosts (using the 32-bit plug-in) may not be able to access the path, nor would you be able to patch the libraries in some cases.

… the Product Manager should not recommend the 32-bit version of a program, unless it has detected an older version with that architecture on the system. Check the Installation Info tab under Show Details to see if that is the case (and post screenshots if necessary).

I don’t have anything 32bit on my system. DAW is 64 only, I’ve only ever used 64 bit versions of Superior. Everything worked fine when I had the libraries installed in /Program Files/*

right, I see. Yes, the Product Manager can’t make any assumptions about your DAW (or multiple DAWs on a system, and which Superior is relevant to), so that is why it ‘recommends’ both the 32-bit and 64-bit. If you don’t need the 32-bit then there is no reason to install it, though besides consuming around 100MB of HD space there is no real downside to have it on the system, hence the recommendation, so as to ensure users uncertain about what they need end up with the right one for their DAW.

you do not want libraries (or MIDI) in the C:Program Files (64-bit) path though, or as stated earlier you *may not* be able to patch them and this will invariably lead to problems further down the line. If you are unhappy using the default path in C:Program Files (x86) then you should choose a neutral path, be it a separate HD or partition… I can’t really think of a benefit using the 64-bit Program Files directory as an alternative at least, it will still consume HD on the same partition.

Yeah I get that about the recommendations. My suggestion would be to change the verbiage to “If you are unsure which one to choose, both are recommended.”

I think the reason I wanted them in the same folder was because I was switching computers a lot and using multiple computers and found that since the libraries aren’t really “programs”, they are just files that weren’t bit dependent, so I just copied the folders from 1 hard drive directly to another instead of installing from DVD which takes forever, then requires updates etc. It was easier to find them when they were all together.

There doesn’t seem to be any products registered to the email account shown in your pic. Do you have your products registered to a different account? If so, sign into Product Manager with the account that contains your products.

New to toontracks… And Happy Birthday To Me!!!
I just received my purchase conformation email (EZDrummer 2 and EZkeys).
Step 1 Create an Account. Done.
Step 2 Download and Install Product Manager. Done.
Step 3. Launch Product Manager and Log In. Done.
Now what? I assume my purchases should show up, but my screen looks like the pics posted by Moe110.
Is there a waiting period? Do they not allow purchases on weekends? What am I missing?
    Patiently Waiting…

Never mind I found the answer in another post. Didn’t realize the serial numbers were included in the purchase Email. DOH!!! Embarassed
