Running EZD1 and EZD2 side-by-side

Can I run EZ1 and EZ2 on the same PC? I have several projects that I’m still remixing in Cakewalk Studio X2 on a Windows 7 64-bit laptop that use EZ Drummer 1 but I really want to buy EZ Drummer 2 with the nice upgrade price. I don’t want to upgrade if it will mess up my installation of EZ Drummer 1 and consequently destroy almost a hundred hours of drum programming and tweaking. Thanks!

It is not possible to run EZdrummer 1 and EZdrummer 2 side-by-side since the latter replaces the former transparently in your projects.

It should be safe to upgrade and everything will play back as if you had EZdrummer 1 installed, with no expected downtime (minus finding your way around the interface – no more than 5 minutes as we believe it is intuitive enough to get to grip with with no significant learning curve, certainly for an existing EZdrummer user).

If you feel that you would rather finish your current ongoing projects however purchasing but not installing the program immediately is an option obviously.
