Roots Superior snare drum sounds

Hi!

I’m happy with the Roots jazz kits in Superior Drummer but one thing I don’t really like are the snare drum sounds.
They are very “tonal”. I like snare sounds to sound more like the Avatar kit, more focus on the actual snare sound.

I’m a bit intimidated by the interface – what should I do to make the drums less tonal?

Usually, it’s pretty easy to notch out the fundamental tone/frequency with an eq. Make a narrow boost with a peak/dip eq band, sweep until you find it and dip it down. Or, do the same with a notch filter.
