Hi, I’m using the TD-50K with SD2 and can’t make it work as I want. The mapping is some how strange transposed one octave, choking a cymbal seems to trigger another cymbal. I’ve use the Roland mapping as a start but it didn’t work, when I’m trying to use the learn function it looks as SD2 ignores what it gets. Am a bit confused about what am doing wrong. Does anyone know how to solve these issues?

Question is how to map up a Roland TD-50 as the the Rolad choice is not working properly. Will it come as an option or is it a way to do it manually. There a number of control messages that doesnt work. Anyone or May be even that someone at Toontrack know if there are any plans or easy to do it…
Hi,
are you sure your module is @ Factory Settings?
I have a hard time believing that Roland suddenly changed note and CC mapping, so something else must be amiss.
You are working with Superior 2 loaded in Toontrack solo, right?
Is there any way for you to record the notes that seem off and check their note number values?
You can always Learn every articulation but the Roland Preset should work pretty much out of the box, with a few adjustments.

Thanks for the answer John,
Am sure that I use the factory settings, took it straight from the box and haven’t changed anything, Am not using solo though, it’s the plugin in Logic.
First of all the Toontrack set is “Hit Factory”. Roland is chosen as preset. HH – No curve closer which works just fine.
There is three toms and the first tom and Floortom 1 have the same, that is easy to change using the “learn” button and change both the centre and rimshot.
Perfect so with that done all about the crashes is doing it’s job.
Here I have Crash 1 and Crash 2 with three sensor points, bell, straight and rim/edge… To make it work I had to change the Kit I used in the TD-50 to send the same midi number regardless of the three trigger points. It is what it is.
I hope that Toontracks and Roland works something out to use all the smart trigger things in the native TD-50 kits such as the ride after touch and the crashes etc.

Hey Jimmy, I believe there’s a setting for after touch messages under the envelope section of superior drummer, on the right-hand side of the main window.
