I’ve just purchased Superior Drumer 2.0 for recording, in conjunction with a Roland TD-3 E-drum kit as it’s trigger. After a full day I’ve managed to install the software and get everything working, but what I’m noticing is that when I hit the kick or snare for example on the screen it’s loud, crisp and clear with high velocity as opposed to when I hit the kick/snare trigger on the kit, which is weaker and without the fast velocity and “snap”. Obviously some “calibration” or “optimization” is required on my part it seems.
Any help, hints or tricks would be most appreciated!
Yeah
Go into the menu on the TD3 and get into pad settings and find Sens >sensitivity hit a pad and adjust. On the kick you may want to turn it quite a bit on the snare maybe just a few higher until your happy ,
you will have dynamics set bit more easy to trigger the louder end of the dynamics.
Then later you may find that you are getting nowhere when you really want to hit those extra big sections and may find you turn them down a bit again.
I have my kick turned up around 20 and snare on 10 -12 and also give the toms, hats and cyms a bit of a lift.
Also make sure the Pads you are using have been matched best you can on the module.
