I suspect this thread is no longer being monitored and perhaps should be started again elsewhere, to draw attention to the issue.

I was happy to figure out that I could add the djembe from Twisted Kit, and a hi ha to the Latin Percussion drums. But it would be SO GREAT if I could also have them named Hi hat and Djembe in the grid editor! Please make this possible!

Yes It would be great to be able to rename User “Instruments” that appear with this “Instruments 1” nomenclature with whatever we change the name to. This would apply to Grid editor, to “Bleed from instruments” and “Close mic audio from instruments” in the Mixer Tab and to the Instrument list in “Route Instrument microphones in the Drums Tab. I have user kits with up to 26 user instruments added and it is very difficult to adjust when I don’t know what they are in these areas mentioned above.

Please can Toontrack consider this as an option in the future.

Wow – 26 user instruments. Would love to see a screenshot of your kit page.

I don’t normally share those sort of pictures – but as you have asked, see attached.

    Plus another one coming.

    Cheers, Andrew

Andrew: Thanks for sharing the pics. That’s an amazing setup with the Yamahas – didn’t think the drum brain could handle that many kit pieces. Also thanks for showing the SD3 gui. I don’t know whether it’s good or bad the way the column of user kit pieces is shown. I thought there might be 2 or more columns. With that many pieces (in addition to being able to rename them) it would be great to have the name show when you hover over the individual square sort of like if one has ‘show help tips’ enabled in a program.

No probs and agree with your comments re “hovering”. FYI I daisy chain an old DTXpress4 Yamaha module plus my DTX900 Yamaha module into the Edrumin10. I use the Yamaha modules for drum pads (all Yamaha) and some cymbals (also all Yamaha) and the Edrumin10 for other cymbals (Yamaha) and the VH-10 Hi Hat. The VH-10 with Edrumin has been a game changer for me and much better than the Yamaha RHH135 Hi Hat I was using. Much more realistic Hi-Hat feel and sound. cheers

Thanks for the explanation and please accept my apologies for mis-identifying the kit as Roland instead of Yamaha. Brain fart because what came to mind seeing that huge kit is Neil Peart’s Roland setup he had DW build into their shells to match his acoustic kit.
