I can run S3 stand alone and it sees all my libraries from S2 and elsewhere but I cannot load S3 into Reaper.. I’ve used S2 for yrs with no issues and Reaper generally auto finds plug ins.. When I try to add a path in Reaper, there is no S3 VST to be found anywhere.. But I can physically go Computer>C>Program files>toontrack>Superior Drummer, and within that folder is a S3 stand alone dll there… If I follow the same path, and go to Vst plugins instead, there is a Superior Drummer 3.dll there from5/7/2018.. I just received and installed the program yesterday.. If I follow that path to VST plugins from Reaper, S3 dll is not there..
Tearing me hair out here
Hi,
are you sure you are running Reaper 64-bit?
If you open the SD3 standalone, you have an entry in the Help Menu to ‘Show Plug-In Path’. This is where the correct .dll file is located and this location should be included in Reaper’s VST Scan paths. If there are other ‘Superior Drummer 3.dll’ files on your system, they should be deleted.

Thanked by: J M OlsonYes, I’m sure I’m using Reaper (x64) and yes I have viewed the help>show plug in path many times.. The only thing there is the dll for the stand alone.. No matter where I look, there is no VST path anywhere.. I purchased thru Sweetwater. They put everything but surround sound on a 128gb flash drive and sent it to me.. Is it possible the VST was left out? It was easy to authorize and Reaper always auto finds. I have Superior 2.0 and EZD2 along with a ton of add on packs.. Never an issue finding them thru Reaper, until now with S3.. The VST just simply isn’t there so at the moment, I have a $300 stand alone
The standalone .dll is the one and only. There is not a Standalone plugin and a VST version. They are one and the same.

Thanked by: J M OlsonWell, that hurdle is crossed.. What i had to do to get Reaper to see it was to create a new desktop folder and copy the dll to it. Then, tell Reaper to look there and bang, it loaded..
Now, if I try to access the S3 libraries I get a “Library SL-SuperiorDrummer3 is damaged”…
Dang

The problem with copying the .dll is that any future S3 updates will only update the original .dll, not both the original and the copy you made. So you’ll have 2 different versions floating around on your system. And unless you remember, you’ll wonder why.
