http://www.pspaudioware.com! One of the best low priced plug-ins youll ever buy! Great on just about anything. Also check out PSPs mix pack. Another GREAT plug-in package, the satuator will make your kicks THUMP and your toms massive!!!

Great for your mastering. Its like having 7 plug-ins in one!

http://bbesound.com/products/maxim/newplugin.asp Yep, its a plug-in too! Awesome for turning your kick into a Metal Monster. Ever heard Kataklysm or just about any Death Metal bands kicks? With this plug-in you can get that Thump/Click sound! Also works great on practically everything…even Vocals!

http://elementalaudio.com/Elemental Audio. Really transparent plug-ins here. Theyre good, they wont add colour….quite transparent and quite inexpensive!

plug-in. Its FREE and a must have for everyone.

http://mhlabs.com/metric_halo/products/channelstrip/. Alot of guys call this plug-in the SSL in a box! It sounds AWESOME on drum tracks- sub mix tracks!!!!!

http://www.sonalksis.com/. These are some Incredible sounding plug-ins. Yes, theyre $$$, but worth it. Try their 30-day FULL demos! The demos work perfect, no bleeps or restrictions for 30-days! I dont know what these guys programmed into their plug-ins, but to me theyre BAD ASS!

Theres waay way more out there. Some PC only ((Voxengo…but coming to Mac this year!)) and some Mac only or RTAS only that ROCK…(((McDsp…URS))). Of course theres the UAD-1, but its a card. It kicks some serious butt too (Studio pack).
But, the links to plug-ins here will work on both platforms. ;D

All these companies, except BBE have FREE demos. Try them out.
WARNING!!!!!!!!!
Once you try them though….youll probably be hooked and cant do without them.

Both of these plug-ins will add a certain colour to your sound that I think yall will like!

I have both…and a few other EQ plug-ins. And lately its the Hydratone that gets a workout.

P.S. Hydra- can be a CPU hog sometimes.

Trace, right now I’m fighting with my Logic Pro program. It has been acting wierd lately. And yeah Grandaddy Alto Music has KILLER prices on ALL software. Some hardware too!!!! When the Apogee PSX-100SE was in it’s hey day. Running about $3,500.00 new. I got mine from Alto– Brand New for $2,250.00

If I can get Logic to actually allow me to SAVE something tonight, I’ll throw on a few samples of these plug-ins in use. They (the SSL/Waves plug-ins) are a drummers dream!!! They do very nice things to guitar tracks too! Pretty much everything I’ve inserted them on just becomes Phat and …um…warm!! I could never afford a SSL 1U XLogic Channel strip, or could really justify even having one. But these plug-ins just ROCK!!!!

WOW!!! These Waves SSL plugs are unreal! or, actually very REAL! They have that elusive third dimension that so many modeling plugs do not. Go out, hock a kidney or sell a cnild on the black market and buy these plug-ins. You won’t regret it!
 
At less then $500 retail, these are a steal.

Glad you are checking them out!!! When I left P.T.L.E. for Logic Pro, I missed all my McDsp plug-ins (Digidesign only plug-ins). But these Waves/ SSL plug-ins have definitely eased the pain of not having the McDsp’s!!! I think the SSL mix buss compressor BLOWS McDsp’s AC1 out of the water! Although the McDsp’s Filter & Compressor Bank had more variety. I’m still a happy Ol’ GORILLA!!!!!

I had the Mc DSPs for Pro Tools as well. Really liked em. Don’t think they hold a matchstick to these waves plugs!

I have had the pleasure of working on some of the best console platforms in the world, including the SSL G series. These plug-ins nail that rich sound!

I’ve played with these for half a day and these waves ssl plugs are the best I’ve heard.  They manage to preserve the airiness and organic feel of C&V – something that most other plugins I’ve tried seem to obliterate.
 
As Gorilla said even the presets make everything sound great.
