I have all of my EZ and superior sounds on a separate HD. I just had to do a clean OS install and would like to “link up” everything back in superior with out needing to re-download or re-install all the CD’s. I would like the presets and midi to all be there. is this possible. I am not finding any info out on the interwebz……
Hi,
your presets and settings are stored on the system drive, so they are gone with the wipe of your OS unless you transfered/migrated settings.
How to solve linking with minimum re-downloading depends.
If you’re not planning to use your EZdrummer 1 plugin, I’d start with downloading and installing the EZdrummer 2 Demo, then move the sounds and MIDI as per the FAQ:
http://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-move-the-sounds-for-ezdrummer-2/
and merge the contents of your old ‘EZdrummer’ folder on your external drive with the EZdrummer 2 Demo ‘EZdrummer’ folder.
This way, Superior 2 should automatically pick up your EZX:s and Toontrack MIDI.
Linking to SDX libraries is done as usual in Superior 2.
