HI just curious, do the MIDI packs and the SDX packs contain the same MIDI grooves, or do the packs only contain a portion of the grooves? Specifically looking at Progressive Foundry SDX vs MIDI pack. I dont’ really need the samples but want all the grooves.
Putting together my wish list 🙂
Thank you!

In those cases, it is noted in the product description, as illustrated on the following pages:

Thanks Scott,
I saw that at as well but my question is do the MIDI packs contain ALL the groove files that are included in the SDX, or just a portion? I don’t really need the samples just the MIDI, but if there’s more groove files in the SDX I’ll go that route. You can never really have too many samples I suppose!

No. The MIDI packs that are taken from the SDXs and EZXs include all of the MIDI.

Just for clarification, the midi pack, ezx expansion, and sdx expansion versions all contain the same pack midi grooves? For example if I only wanted the midi grooves from the progressive foundry and didn’t care about the samples would there be any reason to purchase the sdx or ezx versions over the midi pack? Just wanting to make sure I wouldn’t be missing out on any additional grooves that might only be accessible in the sdx version.
Hi Anthony,
as stated earlier in this thread; IF a MIDI Pack is derived from a sound library expansion (EZX or SDX) it is noted on the product’s description.
There are no extra/hidden/bonus MIDI grooves in a sound library expansion compared to the MIDI pack derived from it. It is simply the MIDI stripped from the EZX or SDX.
IF (as in the case of the Progressive Foundry SDX and the Progressive EZX) an EZX is based upon an SDX – they are still delivered with separate MIDI grooves content, which means that the The Progressive Foundry MIDI Pack that is derived from the Progressive SDX does not contain the same MIDI as the Progressive EZX.

John
