    1. I think that’s possible – as long as you have a license in your TT account for S2.0, you don’t need to have it installed in order to install S3.0.

    2. You can order the base library preinstalled on SSD, not DVDs. $199 extra.

    3. S1.0 is not supported, looking at the FAQ.

    4. Yeah I think you can install them separately, but I’m not 100% certain.

Still hoping for answers from the TT support.

    1. You only need to have S2 registered to your account to be able to then register the S3 upgrade. You don’t need S2 installed.

    2. S3 is available as a download or on SSD.

    3. S1 and its libraries are not supported in S3.

    4. EZXs and SDXs are supported in S3. If they are already installed on your computer S3 will pick up the install path. If you are installing from scratch, you can install the SDXs anywhere and set the paths in S3. You will also be able to set at path when installing S3 (custom install option) to set an EZHome location where all EZXs will install.

Also, check the S3 FAQ for more details on some of your questions.

    Thanks, Scott.

Is it possible for me to install the SD2 sound library (to use it with SD3) without installing the SD2 plug in itself?

Same question goes for the EZDrummer 1 stock sound library, can I install that without installing the EZDrummer 1 plug in?

Would I be able to install all these libraries as well as EZXs and SDXs I have from the Product Manager/Download Manager? Or will I need to use the installation DVDs I have of these products?

You can install SDXs workout installing S2 so you can use them in S3. The EZD1 library is not compatible with S3. Only EZXs.

    Thanks again, Scott.
How about the S2 stock library that came with S2 (not SDXs)? Can I somehow install that without installing the S2 plugin?

Great! Thank you. The Avatar 1 is the same as the NY Studio Series volume 1, is that correct?

Hi Scott, I have a question about using Evil Drums SDX inside SD3..
When I´m loading Evil Drums inside SD3, I got a warning saying “The sound library Evil Drums SDX needs to be updatet. Please use the Toontrack Product manager to update”. But I have the latest version! I even re-installed the library throught the Product manager and it says “ready to use”, but I still got a warning every time I change a kit.

While you receive a message that Evil Drums needs to be updated and there are only generic graphics, clicking Ok lets you use the library.
The error message is likely to receive an update/clarification on an update to remove the error message from popping up every time you load it.
Evil Drums is an Platinum Samples product. If Platinum Samples want to produce an update to the library they are free to contact Toontrack.

    Admin (Scott)-

One thing is still not clear to me. I own SD2 and have upgraded to SD3, as well. Is it possible to use the SD2’s core library samples from the ‘install disks’ that came with SD2 INSTEAD of re-purchasing it as the ‘New York Vol.1’ SDX (SD2) core library?

    Thank You!

    Yes,

the Superior 2 SDX:s can all be used with SD3, no need to re-purchase anything. Just make sure your library is updated and if SD3 doesn’t find the library automatically, add it under Settings>Libraries.

    Thank you, John.

Technically calling SD2 an ‘SDX’ is the confusing part in the communication- since SD2, like SD3, aren’t considered ‘add-ons’ because they ARE the base programs. However, it’s good to know I can use the ‘install disk’ samples (i.e.- core library) from SD2 in SD3 along with all the other actual SDX’s. Thanks for all the hard work!

Best Regards (thanks for the support)-
    Tim
