Just wanted to know if I can use the drum kits from an EZX pack on various midi packs that I may purchase or do I have to purchase the whole EZX pack to use those kits/sounds?

some EZX:s have had their MIDI sold as separate MIDI packs but not the other way around.
All Toontrack EZX MIDI works with the other expansions and also Superior 2 SDX:s, the Latin Percussion EZX being an exception.
