Hi –
I’m a Toontrack user with licenses for Superior Drummer 2, EzMix, EzDrummer 2 and several producer add-ons. I’m currently running EZD2 on my main hard drive running Mavericks OSX 10.9.5. I plan to clone this drive to an SSD.
Question:
What I’m curious about is how Toontracks product authorizations and installation numbers will be effected – if at all – by this move. Does my scenario count as separate installations, or does a clone appear as the same computer ID? Is reauthorizing the current EZD2 install, uninstalling completely, and reinstalling after cloning a preferable method?
Details:
I am running an Early 2009 Mac Pro 4,1: 2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon: 8 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 (upgrading to 16GB)
I am preparing to move my current Mavericks OSX 10.9.5 operating system from a standard Hard Drive to a Solid State drive, an QWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G, 240GB.
I plan to do this by cloning the current HD to the new SSD using Carbon Copy Cloner. I already have an existing clone that acts as my fully bootable back-up drive.
I am not using any Apple TimeMachine routines.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Best,
Pete
