I have previewed all the ride cymbals in ezdrummer 2 and 3. I can’t find a way to have less overtone (Ring). I know all rides have overtones, but I would like to hear more stick attack. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Also is there a way to add Drum Kit Designer ride cymbal into EZdrummer.
It’s tough in EZD Standalone. If you find a preset that has a Ride Channel on the Mixer Tab you might be able to have less room/ambient mics and more direct Ride sound. I only say that if you’re desperate though.
It’s necessary to use a DAW in this case. It’s typical that sustaining overtones ring at a specific note/frequency, and you would use an EQ to lower that specific frequency’s volume. Can send you a vid link if you wish that has the general idea.

Does ezdrummer let us import our own samples?

Yes, Im using it in Logic Pro X. I do have a ride channel, But the Ambience and Overheads over power it. Is there a way to take ride out of Overheads and Ambience Room?
Is there a way to put a ride cymbal from Drum Kit Designer into EZdrummer 3?
BTW, Yes please send me that link.

Maybe Bear Face will advise you on the Logic feature, he tend to lurk. I’m not a Logic guru.

Other than using a One Shot as explained above, you wouldn’t be able to directly bring in the ride cymbal from logic’s drummer. However, you can use a track stack to stack both an EZD3 and a producer kit and put your MIDI regions at the top of the stack and then filter the midi on each track to trigger what you want.
