    Hi,

if you have your Toontrack software updated (please check with the Toontrack Product Manager), going from Windows 7 to Windows 10 shouldn’t mess anything up.
If you decide to perform a clean install of the OS and wipe the drive, then yes, I would Deauthorize first.

    Hi,

just as a sanity check since this thread is more than a year old: has anything changed ever since?

I’m running EZD2 2.1.6 x64 with some EZXs and MIDI libraries alongside TPM 1.0.7 on my Win7 PC, and I’m about to do a scratch installation of Win10 on the same hardware; is the below approach still correct:

    1. Uninstall MIDI packs
    2. De-authorise each EZX
    3. Uninstall each EZX
    4. De-authorize EZD2
    5. Uninstall EZD2
    6. Scratch install Win10
    7. Download, install, authorize & update EZD2 -> EZXs -> MIDI packs again

    Thanks in advance, BR,
    Mátyás

    Well,

if it’s exactly the same hardware, you should not need to go through the uninstallation and de-authorization. Just scratch install Win 10, download the PM and then Download & Install your products. The PM should see your PC as already Authorized. Alternatively use the same Auths again.

In any way you’re not “left in the cold”, just let us know if you run into any problems.

    BR,
    John
