    Hi,

    That’s a strange error to get. Could you please open Applications > Utilities > Terminal and paste the following (harmless) command/line there:

    ls -leOd ~ ~/Downloads ~/Desktop

    …and press Enter. Then copy all text from the window and paste it in your reply, please. Maybe that can give some clue.

    Okay, so it has to do with the fact that your Desktop is a symbolic link to Dropbox/Mac/Desktop and Downloads is a symbolic link to Dropbox/Mac/Downloads. How did it become so and do those folders exist?

    Ok! all fixed now. It seems dropbox automatic backups had relocated the downloads folder for Toontrack. I stopped synchronization of dropbox and the product manager opened and allowed me to reset the location.
