I have two MACbooks, an older OS (10.11 El Capitan) and a newer one (10.15 Catalina), but are theoretically compatible with SD2 and EZDrummer. I have the original install CDs but they do not recognize the OS, so I am using Product Manager. I run through all the installs, everything checks out, says fully installed from web. At this point, they should be in the Application Tray.
However, nothing is there. I do searches all over the laptops, but no sign of either application. Tried a few times, uninstall, reinstall, etc. etc. but same result.
Why is this not working on two different laptops with 2 different OS versions? Seems like a generic install problem from the Product Manager for MAC OS.
Frustrating.

Solo is the only app you have installed. S2 and EZD1 are only plugins that need to be loaded inside a DAW, or, from the Solo host application. If you open Solo, you should have a dialog box at start up that let’s you choose S2 to load. Or, it should be in your instrument plugin menu of your DAW.

They are plug-ins, not applications. But I see that you have downloaded “Toontrack solo” also. If you have installed it, it should be in Applications > Toontrack.

Hi Olof!
I have the CD version of Superior Drummer 2.0 with EZDrummer. I had installed this on a Windows PC fine, as you can see in the Authorization. However, using the CDs on a MAC, it does not recognize the newer OS versions and fails. So I assumed I could use Product Manager to install them from the Web.
How can I get past this issue? I want to install my purchased product on my MAC, let me know of any alternatives or a way to fix this ‘unrecognized OS’ issue when using CDs.
Thanks!
I don’t know that but I would recommend using the Product Manager application to install the products. If the Product Manager (not the web version, which does not know the state on your computer) says that they are fully installed, you should be able to use them – as plug-ins in a DAW or in the “Toontrack solo” application.

I did use the Application Version of Product Manager. It says fully installed, but they are not.
By ‘web’ I meant the install software was downloaded from web, not the CDs.
Bottom line is that I have a product I cannot install. There has to be an answer here to install these CDs on my MAC.
After all that install and verification from Program Manager, the app tray only shows Solo.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh……. Dang. It has been a few years since I used this product, and I totally forgot to launch from SOLO. NOW I get it, duh.
EXCELLENT. Really appreciate the fast responses from both of you. Usually these forums from other companies take days and days for a response, and you guys were right on top of it.
I tries it from SOLO, and all is good.
CASE CLOSED!
