Hi,
Just wanted some tips.
My issue is this bloody kick drum.
It takes me while to dial the kick in as i have this issue with it having a punch about it i really dont like.
It can smother things, but at the same time taking too much off it leaves it thin.
It appears to be in around 100hz area, but im thinking it could be more of a compression issue rather than a eq.
Does anyone here know what im talking about? this is mainly on the kick in.
Anyway, i had it sounding (to my ears) blended enough, but after a test master im noticing it smothering things.
Its really hard to pick directly but sitting back and listening to the song as whole you know its there. It cant be anything else.
Anyway was hoping this has come up here in the past and i could get a couple tips on how to deal with it.
Does anyone here just rip the bass out of the inside kick and use the out kick as the main bass part?
