I don’t own the Toontrack instrument yet.
I want to know what latencies people are getting with what configuration of:
1. computer
2. soundcard
3. audio buffer size
4. MIDI interface
I have a vintage Dual 2Ghz G5. It does everything I want but may not give me super low latency with a large data size sample program like SD2.
I have played software instruments and I found 128 audio buffer size ok. But 64 is going to be tighter.
I don’t know what the latency going MIDI cable from my TD3KW to my Motif is, but it is tight and fun to play.
Has anyone had a problem with latency causing an instrument to be too slow to play?
I won’t be putting any demands on my computer in Logic Pro except audio tracks and one or two plug ins. I am all hardware mixing now.
Second question.
Has anyone had a problem with audible clicks that forced you to enlargen the audio buffer size, thus also adding a delay (latency)?
