With the increasingly larger track count in SDX libraries (I’m looking at you Area 33), I’ve started to need to make annoying routing decisions when building kits or loops. There are 7(!) individual tracks needed for just the kick alone in Area 33. If I wanted to separately process them using my own plugins, I’d need to use almost half of the available outputs, since it only gives me stereo outs. It’d be really, really nice if I could increase the available outputs to 64 or even 128 outputs.
Thank you,
Will
Hi Will,
which host are you using?
You can always split the Stereo Outputs from the plug-in in your DAW to mono and hard pan in the SD3 mixer.
Another option is to split instruments and/or microphones between 2 instances fed by the same MIDI.
I realise this a feature request but it’s just a tip.

John

Thanked by: Flying SodaThanks John,
I didn’t think of that panning trick, thank you! That does offer a lot more outputs, no doubt. With Area 33 in particular though, I still run out mainly because of those stereo close mics lol. I did think of the double instances with only half of the drums cached, but then it makes the built-in groove editor I use for variations kinda clunky. Also, I still run out if I try to use lots of bleed…
Since you asked, I use Reaper.
Thank you again!
Will
