I am on a 10 day trial with EZDrummer 2, predominantly to use with my Roland kit, and I am thoroughly enjoying the sounds EZD 2 creates for my kit. What I also need to do is to be able to play my music backing tracks with EZD2 running on my laptop. How do I set this up if possible please. As the EZD 2 software suppresses other sounds like Spotify on my laptop???
Hi,
you need an audio interface/card that has true multi-client drivers or 2 different ones to be able to do that. It has nothing to do with EZdrummer 2 specifically, try using 2 other applications running audio at the same time and you will notice the same problem.

Hi there, I’m also struggling with the same problem. I’m on the end of my 10-days trial of eZdrummer3 and like the sounds EZdrummer produces. With ASIO4ALL it works fine regarding latency, but I cannot play any youtube or mp3 in the background, which makes it useless.
I understood I need a USB Audio Interface. Ok. Read tons of discussions and tutorials, but still have no solution.
If I use a Interface like the UMC204HD, this also uses the ASIO driver. Can you tell me, if I configure the audio output in EZDrummer to the USB Interfce via ASIO, can I use my headphone output/standard soundcard with another driver in parallel for the background tracks?
Or which audio interface allows multi-client drivers?
