Hi Everybody,
My first post on this site, so I take the opportunity to say a BIG thank’s to Toontrack for their amazing products (S2 of course, but EZkeys too, outstanding !!) and tell everybody who still hesitate : GO ON ! You won’t recognise your e-drum when patched to S2 !!
But, of course, I need help …
I play drums on a AIY kit (Assemble It Yourself Alesis trigger io with ddrum trigger and Yamaha PCYxx cymbals on top of a meshed pearl traveler) and, of course, a computer with S2 and extensions.
Everything works juste fine, except I can’t listen to music while playing !!
My souncard uses mono client ASIO driver, and I can’t obtain sound from WMP, Winamp, Fubar or any MP3 player when SONAR or TT SOLO runs (actually, I’m lucky if it doesn’t crash the whole PC …).
I’ve been looking for a VST MP3 player to plug in SONAR (SONAR can’t simply read MP3 playlists …), or a VST host MP3 player to use with S2, but found nothing “serious” with 64bit VSTi support (tried Cantabile, but “MP3 is not officialy supported” …).
My external sound card routes either Inputs OR DAW to speakers/phones, but not both at the same time.
So : I’m stuck !
I guess I’m not the only one in the world to play drums over my favorite music : how do you, or would you do this ? Any solution ?
(may be Toontrack team’s would plan to add a MP3 player to their awesome SOLO ? )
Thank’s for any help,
All the best
PS : I’ve posted in the “e-drum” forum since it concerns playing live, but feel free to move it if it doesn’t fit here. Thank’s.
