How do I utilize the old Piano Roll MIDI parts with Grid Editor?
I’ve been writing drums/bass parts with Piano Roll Editor on Logic Pro for decades.
After watching some videos of the Grid Editor with all the articulations it can do, I wanted to give it a try.
I’m using the Superior Drummer 3 and about to buy the EZBass as soon as I figure this out.
Thank you for your help in advance and stay safe!
To get your drums into SD3, you can do it one of two ways:
Export your midi from Logic Pro X and import it into SD3.
or, even easier, hit the record button on SD3 and press play in Logic Pro X.

Record on SD3 and play the MIDI in Logic Pro X! That’s brilliant!
Importing & Exporting was a pretty obvious option, but, hey! This changes everything!
Thank you, Bear-Faced Cow.
