Hey there!
I recently bought a Roland HD-3 to use it with SD 2 in Toontrack Solo. However, the output is really quiet, which means that even with my headphones on i can clearly hear the pads sound. Simply turning up the master in solo makes the sound distort so that can be the solution.
The Volume in Windows is already at 100%.
Is that normal? Is there a way to push the output to a normal level?
I’m using windows 7 home premium on a lenovo notebook and asio4all .
Thanks 🙂
Depending on your headphones, you might need a headphone amplifier.
Unless you have a preset on them, they are largely uncompressed. In TT Solo you will be listening to the SD2 sounds pretty much raw, and they will have a large crest factor, ie a very high peak to average ratio. This means you need a lot of headroom on your headphone amp, and laptop outputs might not cut it unless your headphones are quite low impedance.
