Hello all. I’ve got the demo of the program, starting to really dig it. Here’s what I’d like to do with this program, can you tell me in a few words if I can do this? This has probably been asked before, can’t seem to find it.
I’d like to open the program, use a MIDI keyboard to EASILY punch in a rhythm, then press a few buttons that will make the pattern I put in sound like the EZDrummer guys did it. I’m mostly talking about the volumes here (I know I can quantize)…the provided loops sound great because all the various volumes on the various parts sound reasonable, as if a real drummer did it. When I punch stuff in, I’m going to be all over the place, and I DO NOT want to spend all this time going in to each freaking part and editing it.
Maybe I’m lazy, it’s possible. But again, would love to just punch in a pattern and then tell EZDrummer – “Even out these volumes, quantize the note values, and make this sound like a real drummer played it (with the understanding of course that this is just a piece of software and not a real drummer).”
Thanks all, apologies if this is not in the right forum, and if this has been asked a million times.
Tom
Hi,
evening out the volumes that way is not a function of the Edit Play style feature, so if you literally are all over the place in velocity with your hits, then you will need another strategy and a DAW to do external editing. What you CAN do, is cutting up parts and select an instrument and lower or raise the hits for that instrument in the selected part. It may be enough, don’t you think?

John
