Nice tune. Nice voice that fits the style. I think the verse is strong; stronger than the chorus in fact. You’ve probably moved on to creating new songs (I know I don’t like to look back and edit old stuff), but I was just thinking it would have been interesting to try the same chord progression for the chorus (as in the verse), just using a different melody – simpler, fewer words – as a chorus.
Also, cleverly composed lyrics – where do we go from here, indeed…

Wow thanks! You’re right about moving on, I’m pretty tired of the song after spending about a month on and off working on it.
That’s an interesting idea about keeping the verse pattern for the chorus and it’s got me trying to think how that would sound. Always good to have an outside opinion.
I do agree that the second half of the verse is probably the strong part of the song. The drums and bass kicking in lifts it a bit. In my case the bass is the low E and A string on my cheap Fender F15 acoustic guitar. It doesn’t record well, but it’s fun to play!
