New DrumKAT owner looking for advice

Hi all,

I’ve just acquired a DrumKAT 3.5, which I’m planning to use with DFH Superior (I’m eagerly waiting to receive my upgrade to v2.0!). It came with a MiniKick trigger and a Kat 3-pedal momentary switch board. For the MiniKick, can anyone recommend a cheap traditional kick pedal that would work well with it? I’m on a tight budget and I’m not a drummer, so I don’t want to invest in anything too flashy. I guess it needs to be fully adjustable for tension and beater angle. Mapex make a cheap one (model P320) – any good?

Also, what is the cheapest purpose-made Hihat foot controller I can get that transmits the correct CC info to detect how open the hat is and also transmits the chick note?
