EZDrummer 3 will not let you interchange cymbals from the left and right side. For example, Crash 1 plays on the left side and Crash 3 plays on the right side, but if you use Crash 1 in place of Crash 3 it still plays out of the left side and vice versa. This is also true of using cymbals from other kits and other EZXs. I like to substitute different cymbals from different kits.
I know the the Drummer Perspective and Audience Perspective can help with this, but I rarely use this and it can affect my workflow. EZDrummer 2 allowed these substitutions but EZDrummer 3 doesn’t. Can this be fixed so that any cymbal from any kit or EZX can be used in any other kit, in any cymbal location?

Thanked by: Tom PollockWow, hey Jsam. I’m thinking about purchasing EZ drummer 3 and I was wondering the same thing. I would think with all of the adjustments that there would be a way to “copy” a cymbal from one location to another or from one kit to another. If you have any update on your question (from June 2022) I would sure like to know what you find out.
Kind Regards,
Tom Pollock
That’s what Superior Drummer 3 allows.
