Need to interchange cymbals in EZDrummer 3

EZDrummer 3 will not let you interchange cymbals from the left and right side. For example, Crash 1 plays on the left side and Crash 3 plays on the right side, but if you use Crash 1 in place of Crash 3 it still plays out of the left side and vice versa.  This is also true of using cymbals from other kits and other EZXs.  I like to substitute different cymbals from different kits.

I know the the Drummer Perspective and Audience Perspective can help with this, but I rarely use this and it can affect my workflow.  EZDrummer 2 allowed these substitutions but EZDrummer 3 doesn’t.  Can this be fixed so that any cymbal from any kit or EZX can be used in any other kit, in any cymbal location?

Wow, hey Jsam.  I’m thinking about purchasing EZ drummer 3 and I was wondering the same thing.  I would think with all of the adjustments that there would be a way to “copy” a cymbal from one location to another or from one kit to another.  If you have any update on your question (from June 2022) I would sure like to know what you find out.
