There really isn’t much difference between the ride articulation and the bell articulation in Avatar. For the Bell articulation I’m looking for a type of sound like hitting the side of the stick on the bell as opposed to the tip of the stick. Louder and more aggressive. Does Toontrack have something like this? Maybe I could bring it in an an Xdrum or something?
Thanks
Geno
The C&V SDX has some more pronounced ride bells; the paiste sound creator bell ride is one that I bring into Avatar as an X-drum a lot and it really cuts through dense mixes.
My opinion of course….

There are bell shank ride articulations in TMF SDX.
If you want ‘louder’ bell hits for Avatar, you can select ‘Edit Articulation Only’ and select the bell ride articulation and turn up the volume fader in the ‘Instrument’ box (lower right of S2). I also find that the bell ride for the 21″ HHX Dry Ride is quite aggressive.

Thanks guys! I’m going to try out that existing HHX. I knew about the edit articularion – I’ve got the ride and bell + 10 db. Sounds like you’ve given me some nice options!
