I’m trying SD3 in my college studio since there is no trial. Whenever I create a multi-output track of SD3 in Logic Pro X, I am unable to edit tracks individually.
I like having a separate track for each instrument(kick, snare, open hh, closed hh) and I would like to have the ability to add pans and effects on each one of them. I am able to achieve this for the kick and snare, by routing the audio from the SD3 Mixer to Stereo 1/2, Stereo 3/4; but if I have a cymbals track in the 5/6 output, there is no way to output cymbals to 5/6 from the SD3 mixer to the 5/6 track since there are no mics specific to just cymbals in SD3 which I could just assign to 5/6 from the SD3 mixer.
Please tell me I’m missing something or doing it wrong because honestly, I am liking SD3 a lot this would be a deal breaker for me and I would have to stick to a VST where I can control each sound individually.
Pardon my confusion but I’m not sure exactly what troubles you’re having…
Multi-output routing is certainly available in SD3…

Alternately, you can BOUNCE individual instruments/microphones mixed as you see fit…
