    If I understand you correctly.

EZD2 is not a direct replacement of EZD3. EZD3 should be considered a completely different program.

On the sessions (possibly from your old OS) you would open the EZD2 plugin in your DAW as-is, go to the EZD2 Menu and Save it from the plugin menu. Now you have an EZD2 file outside of your DAW session. Then, whether the old OS or new OS, make a track with EZD3 on it. Open EZD3 in your DAW. Use the file menu in EZD3 and go to Import EZD2 project. Now you’ve migrated a session from EZD2 to EZD3. It’s going to be some labor if you have a lot of sessions.

The same workflow from EZK1 to EZK2.

If there’s an easier way, I assume someone will chime in.

    Thanks but not quite.

I was trying to say that this problem happens with any project that uses EZ-Drummer 2 or EZ-Drummer 3. (I have since verified that it DOES NOT happen with EZ-Keys 1/2)

    As an example.

    – Take two machines, both with the appropriate versions of EZ-Drummer 3 installed (the Windows version on the Windows machine and the Mac version on the Mac machine).

    – Make a project with EZ-Drummer 3 in Windows (VST3) and save it.

    – Then take that same project file and open it on a Mac.

On the Mac, the VST3 will not be found.

I have no problems loading an EZD3 project from Win to Mac (M4 mini as well). So not sure what vst3 has to do with it when it’s the standalone app. A VST is the plugin version of EZDrummer 3.

Maybe mention what DAW you’re using if you are indeed using a VST3.

As I mentioned in the first line of the thread, my DAW of choice is Reaper.

I do not use the tool in a stand-alone method, only as a virtual instrument within a DAW (again, Reaper).

I missed some details. Sorry. I’ll migrate a reaper project over and see what happens.

Similar issue, except EZKeys 2 worked fine, but not EZD3 and EZBass. There’s a conclusion in this old thread. Not one you that helps you get what you need though. https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/ezd3-and-reaper-cant-move-between-mac-and-windows/

I got EZ-Bass to work using the option in the setting that uses the Windows the VST id.

I didn’t see that thread. Thanks for the pointer.

Guess I’ll be setting up a Windows box and exporting each project one at a time.

This is a new thread. Seems bad but you never know who chimes in. Since it seems more like a VST3 issue than specifically Toontrack, you could try a bigger Reaper community. Maybe some geeks have some better workarounds.  Best of luck.
