After being underwhelmed by the amount/variety of MIDI included in some of the EZXs (Nashville had a ton, but I found Funkmasters, Jazz and especially Southern Soul rather limited), I’m considering purchasing some MIDI packs. Is there a way to get more detailed information about what is included in each pack? More specifically, I’d like to see the names of all the ‘families’ included (what shows in the ‘Family’ column of the Search module) with similar organization as the ‘Browser’ module (groups the families into different categories). Seeing the families (both the names and the number of families included) gives me a better idea of how versatile a given pack is compared to just seeing the total number of MIDI files are included in the pack (what is shown on the product pages). For example, the total number of MIDI files included with the Jazz EZX is high, but it’s mostly a ton of variations (especially fill variations) for a small number of songs (families).
I know there is the “Show Web Shop MIDI” option in the Search module, but it is very tedious to scroll through every single file in a pack to count/write down all the families. Also, this method doesn’t show the Browser module’s grouping, making it harder to know the style of each family without previewing (some packs don’t have the most descriptive family names).
