I have upgraded to PT 11 on my Win 7 Pro 64 bit machine. In order to get EZD to work again I need the 64 bit AAX version. The only update available to me is the 1.4.0 and all it installs is the 32 bit version. I have received several replies from TT support and all they keep telling me is to download 1.4.0 and “run the 64 bit installer”!
THERE IS NO 64 bit installer in ANY package available to me except Toontrack solo!
I completely clean my machine for any 32 bit EZD and then run the ONLY installer included in 1.4.0. All that happens is that it goes straight to the (x86) directory which means it is installing as 32 bit. I can see the AAX drivers included in the package but I have no way of installing them.
Please read this in detail and provide me with an ACTUAL answer instead of telling me over and over to do what I am already doing.
I just downloaded the EZdrummer 1.4.0 update and this is what is in the folder (see pic below). Can you please post a pic of the downloaded 1.4.0 update that you have showing only a 32-bit update please.

I also downloaded the 1.4 version with no option for 64 bit… and this is after I lost authorization on my computer for no particular reason at all.
This is all that was in it…
That looks like the Full product installer, not the update.
Check the attached screen shot.

Well I uninstalled my copy of the EZdrummer 1 software (which was the 64 bit) and now I don’t have the option to install the 64 bit version because the download from the site no longer offers it with this new patch. If I install the original from my disc, will the update allow me to change it to 64? From what I’m seeing on my disc, there aren’t any other options but 32 bit… so, if I can’t update it to 64 bit, where can I get the full downloadable 64 bit version now that the site’s all changed up for EZdrummer 2?

I also have the same issue…has this been solved yet?
What exactly are you having trouble with? If you download and install the full EZD1 product, and then download the 1.4.0 update, there will be the 64-bit update in the 1.4.0 update download (see the pics above).

As you can see, I only have the option to download 1.4.0 that does not have a 64bit install.

The second pic is of the full 1.4.0 installer and not the ‘Update’. If you download the ‘Update’ file (see my pic) do you have the 64-bit Updater?

Scott,
Can you tell me where to find the update for 1.4.0 to Windows XP or newer? The only updates listed in my account are Windows XP to Windows 8 only.
Also, Can you tell me where to find Toontrack solo 1.3.2 for Windows XP or newer. The only update in my account is Toontrack solo 1.3.2 for Windows XP to Window 8 only.

EZD1 has been discontinued since 2014 and isn’t supported in any OS past Windows 8.
As for Solo…have you downloaded the latest version? Does it install?

Scott,
Thanks for the reply!!
Reading through this thread and viewing the screenshots, a 1.4.0 to Windows XP or newer option is shown. It’s just not shown in my account. I only see Windows XP to Windows 8 only. Where can I find the update for 1.4.0 for Windows XP or newer shown in this thread? Or, is the Windows XP to Windows 8 only a 64 bit version (and I just don’t realize it)?
I did install Solo, and it looks to install fine and startup, but I can’t find the path for the Drummer, and I think it is due to EZDrummer being installed in the Program Files (x86) area of my drive. (I think this means 32 bit?). So, I’m essentially looking for the 64 bit EZDrummer version talked about in this thread. I’m not very technical in this area, so hope this helps.
Also, I have the Cocktail kit and DFH kit 1.5.2. Are they 64-bit?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
‘Or, is the Windows XP to Windows 8 only a 64 bit version (and I just don’t realize it)?’
It contains both 32-bit and 64-bit updates.. Since we don’t support newer than Windows 8 (like Windows 10) it doesn’t make sense to say ‘…and newer’ anymore. The 1.4.0 update for XP to Windows 8 is what you are looking for.
The cocktail ezx and the dfh ezx are just libraries and are not 32-bit or 64-bit. If you want ’64-bit’, you should just be able to install the 1.4.0 64-bit update.

I’m reading this forum in 2019. The screen shots are old. Is it still possible to find or obtain an upgrade package from EZ Drummer 1.3.0 to 1.4 so I can install the Twisted Kit? My system is a Mac OSX 10.6 and my host is Pro Tools 8.0.3. Thanks!
