Midi track missing hits on playback

I’m using EZDrummer 1 (Americana kit, all patches) on Sonar X2 for Windows (all 64 bit).

I have a midi track that just has a snare. If I view the events, I can see them all at the same velocity and length.

On some of the hits (the same ones every time) the snare sound is not heard.

Has anyone seen this behaviour before?

I’ve tried it on 32bit X2 (on win64) and it’s similar, but different events get played. Bizarrely, if I try it on X2 on 32bit windows, every note is perfect. So I doubt it’s the MIDI that is the problem.
