Been a while since the post,
    does anyone have any input?

I’m about to purchase another MIDI pack and/or EZX,
I would appreciate any answer, even if it’s a simple “NO”.

    Hi,

I am afraid it has to be the simple ‘No’, then.
The MIDI packs aren’t listed that way, with their entire content.
If there’s something in particular you wish to know, please ask.

    BR,
    John

John, thanks for your kind reply.

I was trying to decide between the “Roots MIDI pack” and “Blues MIDI pack”.

Is there a way I could see a quick screen shot of the MIDI files browser?
(like the pic shown below for the Americana pack)

I think that’ll be the easiest way to show me the general volume & the contents of the MIDI pack.

Sorry to bother you, and thank you very much for your time and your great products!

p.s. I asked another question about a EZX here, I’d appreciate it if you could help with this one too.

They are really helpful screen shots any chance I could see one for Metal Machine and Drumkit from hell. Also might be a silly question but Im new to all this, if i get both Metal Machine and Drumkit from hell can i use midi patterns from one with the kits from the other, e.g. a midi pattern from DFH with a Metal Machine kit.

    Thanks

yes, any EZX kit will play any Toontrack midi pattern: if needed, it will even optimize the pattern according to the number of available toms; in fact, the only thing it can’t do is play a cowbell when the kit hasn’t got any…
metal machine has 4 data folders: unfortunately, the 4th one comprises 7 songs and is too big for EZP’s window… anyway, I’m not sure whether showing you these meaningless details is actually helpful since it doesn’t tell you what’s in the midi files, does it?

Thanks those screen shots are really helpful they give me an idea of the midi involved. Do you think there is enough midi and variation for piecing together my own songs or would i need an extra midi pack? Is the midi with DFH from hell more varied?

    Thanks

    John,

    Thanks for those pics!
Yeah, that’s exactly what I wanted to know!
