    Hi,

all EZX:s can be used with SD3: the presets, individual instruments and the MIDI.
I tend to use the pre-produced sounds of EZX:s when they fit the song/production I’m working on. There’s not always a need to use the incredibly sampled SD3 library. If the Americana sound is what you’re going for, I’d say the Americana EZX is a great addition to your sound arsenal.
I am not sure you have got the pricing right but I am seeing the Swedish store and there the MIDI pack and EZX have very different prices.

Ok, you are correct. They are very different prices. I believe I was confused when jumping around the site.
Americana EZKeys midi and Americana drum midi are the same price. That makes more sense and is what I mixed up.

I own both Indiependent SDX and Indie Folk EZX. Apparently, they are from the same recording session. It’s a good example of how someone might want to own both. In this particular case, I would rather have only purchased the midi of Folk EZX and the Indiependent SDX entire expansion, but can see why it’s nice to have both in certain production situations like you mentioned..

Thanks for helping me clear this up. I can make more informed decisions in the future but I still don’t regret any purchases. I’m having a blast with SD3 and every expansion I purchased. 🙂
