    Why-
Because you “could” spend an hour programming it or 2 minutes locating a real played groove with heaps more detail yet simple and vibey plus the fills are usually better then anything you may program.
They are all good really.Just way too many to break it all down and complain about minor things so if you need them you have come to the right place her.

Flip side is we all should try to be good at programming a cool drum part and using midi files can mean we miss the opportunity to learn how

I still enjoy playing in, via an E kit and a keyboard, exactly what i need as it is more direct and even quicker as i know what accents and stops i want and it is not generic.
I then can cheat a bit if i am feeling tired or just not cutting it.

Other times you can use them as great writing partner -try getting the drummer to play a perfect simple beat for 30 minutes or more whilst you come up with an idea and be happy at 2 a.m.
It ain’t gonna happen plus a simple groove is way better then a click track.

    optofonik,
I have the songwriters midi pack and also use the midi files included in the kits I’ve purchased for EZ Drummer & Superior Drummer. It’s really the fastest way to compose. It’s your pro session drummer. However, if you have/get an e-drum kit you can still build your song quickly with MIDI pack files and later use your e-drums to trigger EZD or SD to add your own drum playing to your song. I have a e-drum kit but my playing doesn’t match the nuances of the ToonTrack midi flies. You can hear examples of my recordings using EZD ( EZ Drummer) and SD (Superior Drummer) on my music blog site Not 4 Tourists, http://www.n4tourists.com. I also have music on Google Play with examples of EZD & SD (all ToonTrack midi files). Search “Not 4 Tourists” on Google Play (all free albums).
